In Room 14 of OCS you will find 14 Fifth Class boys, Miss Gray and Miss Langan. We have been having a great year so far with lots of exciting things happening. The boys love their PE time every Wednesday morning where we head out to the astro for some fun and games. So far this year we have played football, basketball, rounders, tag rugby and the boys have had their swimming lessons.
We have art every Thursday where the boys have made beautiful drawings, paintings and pieces of construction. The boys also really enjoy their computer and ipad time where we do online reading, maths and research for our topics. We also have very competitive Kahoot quizzes using the ipads!
The boys in room 14 have been working so hard during their English time this year. They have been taking part in daily writing workshops where they have written poetry, recounts, stories and they are currently working on reports on their own favourite topics. We also have book club groups where the boys have been reading a wide variety of novels. The boys should be so proud of taking on the new responsibility of reading their chapters each night and being ready for their book club each day.
We are very lucky in OCS to have lots of opportunities to learn new things from people in the community. So far this year we have had Science-in-a-box Zoom lessons, basketball sessions, drumming workshops and hip hop dancing! These are only a few of the many exciting things we have had a chance to do this year.
