This week in 2nd class we had a publishing party.
In September the boys in 2nd class started the Write to Read programme. Each day they complete word work, reading and writing groups.
Over the past few months the boys have been practising different writing genres and skills. They then picked some of their favourite pieces of writing, edited them and published them.
The publishing party gave the boys a chance to celebrate their own writing, read other children’s writing and provide positive comments and constructive feedback for their peers.
It was great to celebrate the boys fantastic work and to see how far they have come since September.
